Something Like a Trail Ride

A night to honor the historical importance of Black trail-ride traditions and culture in Central Texas. Something Like A Trailride will highlight the underrepresented histories of Black and Brown Austinites, particularly those whose communities have been displaced from East Austin. Trail Ride - A slow walk in the parking lot of horses, mules and four-wheelers. Food vendors - Handmade fried pies and tea-cakes lovingly made by local vendors Cowboy Talks - Storytelling and sharing from Black cowboys and trail-riding culture. Gallery show - New work by artist Avery Ross Country DJ and Line Dancing in the Food Court!
