Wild Ride

The Shield Ranch Foundation and Wild Ride Committee proudly present The Wild Ride: a rare Cross-Country (XC), double track ride allowing you to experience the protected and secluded landscapes of Shield Ranch Barton Creek through a conservation lens via an exclusive mountain biking experience at The Campsite at Shield Ranch. Just 20 miles west of downtown Austin, this unrivaled event combines adventure, conservation, and community while supporting the mission of the Shield Ranch Foundation. Bring your mountain bike and your curiosity! Riders will enjoy exclusive access to scenic ranch roads that are typically closed to the public. Choose between approximately 8-mile and 16-mile routes, featuring rolling terrain and exhilarating descents. Route selections can be made on the morning of the ride. All participants are required to wear helmets and appropriate safety gear.
