Description Ruffle Some Feathers: A Live Storytelling Event Thursday, October 22, 2026 KUT Studio 1A | Austin, TX Presented by GAACC NextGen, Accent Unmuted, FYP, and KUT Save the date for Ruffle Some Feathers , a live storytelling event centered on Asian and Asian American voices, accented voices, and the moments when speaking up changed something. This special evening will feature a curated group of storytellers sharing personal, 5–7 minute stories about a time they challenged an expectation, disrupted the status quo, pushed back on convention, or used their voice to create change. The stories may come from the workplace, family, culture, entrepreneurship, leadership, community, or somewhere completely unexpected. What connects them is a willingness to question what was accepted and make space for something different. This is not a TED Talk or a formal speaking competition. It is personal storytelling: honest, specific, and told in each speaker’s own voice.
