Austin’s Legacy, AI’s Future: Building Humane Technology

Austin built its reputation as a technology leader long before AI became mainstream - from early advances in networking and hardware to decades of founders and investors who bet on what came next. This session asks what that institutional knowledge is worth now: how can Austin’s builders and capital use decades of hard-won experience to lead on humane technology? Panelists will explore what this looks like in practice - and why Societal Innovation, where the healthier choice for people and the better outcome for capital align, is becoming investable here first. Please note: Adding this session to your agenda does not guarantee admission. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first serve basis until room capacity is reached. Austin Tech Week session.
