Voter Fest: Austin’s Early Voting Party

October 24 is the only Saturday of early voting in Austin, and we’re throwing a free festival for it. Think SXSW activation: a morning full of music, movement and things to do with friends at Central Machine Works in East Austin. Kick things off at 11am with a 2-mile run through the neighborhood and a group workout. Learn something new at a line dancing lesson on the indoor stage, then stick around for live music, DJs and dancing. Explore local vendors and activations, and stop by tables from nonpartisan community partners to check your registration, find your polling place and see what’s on your ballot. Free breakfast tacos for the first 100 people who RSVP. Free, open to all and strictly nonpartisan. Bring your friends, make a plan to vote, and help make showing up for local elections part of Austin’s culture. Hosted by Texas Voter Project.
